The XL6009/LM2596 DC-DC module is a non-isolated Step Up and Step Down ( boost as well as buck) constant voltage (CV) DC-DC converter.
The main advantage of using this module is the output voltage remains fixed even if the input voltage goes below or above the set voltage. This module has Output voltage independent of input voltage (3.5V-28V input, any value output 1.25V-26V).
In this you can set the output voltage anywhere from 1.25V to 26V and even if the input voltage varies from 3.5V to 28V the output voltage will remain fixed as per the set voltage (which can be adjusted using on-board trimpot).
* This module is perfect for solar application where you want to give constant 12 to 14 volts to charge your battery but the the output of the solar panel varies according to the sunlight.
